  • Photodust, a not-for-profit Asia-Pacific photography and curation project. 
  • The Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive, a not-for-profit, open-access physical archive of independent photobooks, formed in response to the European and American focus of most international discourses around photography and photobooks.
  • Matca is an alternative gathering space and collective for the Vietnamese photographic community.



  • Code Switch, NPR   Race and Identity, Remixed. 
  • Intersections, 3CR Community Radio Local and Global Intersectional Feminisms in Action. Building Feminist Solidarity across race, gender, class, sexuality and ability.
  • Life in Colour, SYN Media, a radio show from the perspective of four young women of colour trying to navigate their way in the world.
  • Queering the Air presents critically engaged commentary from a mix of trans, genderqueer, gender diverse, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, gay, queer and intersex perspectives.

Asian-American pals  

  • Hyphen Magazine, an incredible Asian-American online and print magazine that is 'driven by a hunger for a more complex representation of Asian America.' 
  • Sad Asian Girls, an art collective of Asian-fems who 'want to break the culture of passivity of Asians during discussions of social issues, as well as break stereotypes that have been long projected onto Asian women.' 
  • Diacritics, an online platform that covers the arts, culture and politics of Vietnamese at home and in the diaspora.

Literary Journals

  • The Asian American Literary Review showcases the work of established and emerging writers, aiming to incubate dialogues and open those dialogues to regional, national, and international audiences of all constituencies. 
  • Asymptote Journal is the premier site for world literature in translation; their mission is to 'unlock the literary treasures of the world'.

  • Cha: An Asian Literary Journal is the first Hong Kong-based English online literary journal. Cha has a strong focus on Asian-themed creative work and work done by Asian writers and artists. 
  • Mascara Review is a bi-annual literary journal specialised in the work of contemporary migrant, subaltern, Asian Australian and Indigenous writing.
  • The Offing, an online literary magazine that actively seeks out and supports work by and about those often marginalised in literary spaces
  • Outcast Magazine is a South Asian queer lit magazine aimed at sharing stories from the LBGTQ+ community in a local context to foster tolerance and acceptance. 
  • The Shanghai Literary Review  features quality creative work from or about Asia and introduces new voices to the critical conversation on world literature.
  • Southern Crossings is a writers' collective that aims to reimagine Australia, South Asia and the world.

  • Words without Borders promotes cultural understanding through the translation, publication, and promotion of the finest contemporary international literature.
